The power of a pause
In the ten years I’ve been working in film, I have always gravitated towards creatively complicated, often-mercurial, delightfully odd people. Being an entertainment lawyer lets me bring structure to projects whose disarray is their superpower.
Some of the movies I’m most proud of were grueling labors of love where I genuinely suffered to find a rhythm amidst the chaos. When the dust settles, I’m always able to see where my painfully organized mind came in handy to make something bigger than me.
Sometimes we need to suspend belief in the way we think it’s all supposed to happen.
Focus on the long game.
And never lose sight of the medicinal power of knowing You’ve Got Mail is there when you need it.
More soon,
Sarah
